Innovation

Five Years of

From QR code pioneers to sports engagement leaders

2019

QR codes & Innovation Foundation
The Tiparra team first gets together to build an innovative, mobile-first solution to the problem of property and asset management in commercial tenancies and public spaces. Our QR-code based FixIt platform is launched, making it easy for members of the public to scan an asset code and raise a maintenance issue for repair.

2020

COVID-19 & The QR Revolution
We all remember what made 2020 infamous. The surprise resurgence of QR codes was one silver lining, with the power of those little interaction squares really kicking our FixIt platform into the next gear. Thanks to a Boosting Innovation Grant from CBRIN and the ACT Government we develop new components for two-way interaction between real world events and digital versions of those events.

2021

Platform Launch & First Major Partner
The outcome of an internal app ‘pitch-fest’, Tiparra is born as a new platform for community groups and micro-creators to generate and share content with their audiences. Tiparra picks up our first major event partner, the ACT Brumbies rugby union club. The most successful professional rugby club in Australia adopts Tiparra to run all Game Day engagement with fans, introducing our platform to a massive new audience.

2022

Professional Sports Breakthrough
Building on our success with the ACT Brumbies, we refined our game day experience platform and introduced advanced fan engagement features. This year marked our transition from a startup experiment to a proven solution for professional sports organizations.

2023

Growth & Revenue Innovation
Tiparra just keeps growing in 2023, with new application features and new event partners added on almost a weekly basis. We introduced our new processes for increasing sponsor and partnership ROI through the Tiparra platform, opening new revenue opportunities for sports clubs and event hosts.

2024

Multi-Sport Growth & Global Expansion
Tiparra picks up our second and third major event partners, Brisbane Roar FC mens and womens teams and Basketball ACT’s mens and womens NBL1 teams. Commencement of our UK and European expansion plans starts in April.
